We talked about the 4 Ps of Project Management. In this video we want to talk about Process Management.
One of the first problems to solve is to select the process model that is appropriate for the software to be engineered by your project team. It should be appropriate for customers who have requested as well as the people building it, the type of product, and the environment in which the system will be built.
Project planning begins with the melding of the product and the process.
A matrix showing the product requirements and their relationship to the process is part of the project management process.
The process of breaking down requirements into small pieces will differ depending upon the size and complexity of the project. Small projects may use more informal meetings, where complex projects might need specialist and stakeholders to come in from different locations and take weeks to arrange travel.
We can look at the previous steps we discussed early on about processes, and how they affect the design of the product we will be building. So review that information to be ready to move forward as necessary.
