I recently saw someone ask, “Please share your worst virtual classroom disasters” I thought it would be fun to share mine.
#LPIWebinar Please share your worst virtual classroom disasters. What happened? How was it fixed? Could you continue with the session?

I was doing some training as a guest speaker for a company. About 2 minutes before the session was supposed to start, I slightly moved the podium I was using. Unfortunately, it managed to hit the power switch the computer was plugged into.
I had to turn everything back on, which took about 10 minutes.
Luckily the firm I was presenting with had a host, and I had sent him my slide deck earlier. So the first half dozen slides were controlled by the host and I used my printed out slides to know where I was.
Because I was prepared for potential disasters, a real disaster was averted, but it was a little “interesting” to say the least. (And now I don’t adjust anything before the class ends.)
