About Federal Hill House Association
Federal Hill House Association (FHHA) is a private, non-profit 501 (c)(3) multi-cultural social services agency located in Providence, Rhode Island. Established in 1887 as a settlement house, FHHA has been a longstanding, respected agency committed to improving the social, educational, emotional and physical well being of individuals, families, children and seniors. In 2011, we touched the lives of more than 5000 parents, children, seniors and individuals, helping them through some of the most difficult times in their lives.
Since 1887, Renowned for Services to the Community In 1887, Federal Hill House was formed in the heart of Federal Hill as a settlement house to help Italian immigrants become acclimated to the New World and assimilate into the community. Today, Federal Hill House has evolved into a multi-ethnic, social service agency where people continue to seek services to improve their quality of life. In this diverse community, Federal Hill House continues to deliver client-focused services meeting a wide range of needs – such as our Early Child Learning Center, After School Program, senior meals, emergency food, victims of crime assistance, and our Bundles of Joy Family Support Services Program. We are also proud to be the sponsoring agent for the Foster Grandparent Program in the City of Providence. Tomorrow, we’ll be here too, still working hard and providing a broad range of social services to meet evolving community needs. Whether you need our help -- or you wish to help us as a volunteer or as a donor, we think you’ll find our new website informative and inspiring.
