Microsoft Word gives you a default solid circle bullet point to use. But sometimes you would like to change it up a bit. Well here is how.
- First, right-click over with your mouse, over the bullet points.
- From the pop up menu, choose your bullet option.
- Hover over the different bullet point styles to see how the change would affect your document.
- Then click on the style of the bullet that you want to use to set that style for your bullet point list.
From the pop out menu, you can also define what the sub-levels will look like, i.e. sets of bullet points under a single bullet point.
Changing the Style to Something Not Currently Available
You can also choose to define a new type of bullet point. From here you can define a symbol or an image. Choosing a symbol allows you to use a font, like Wing Dings, while an image allows you to create something entirely new.
